Auction rules
These rules apply to every auction, in addition to the general Foroshga terms.
1. Who can take part
- An active Foroshga account with a verified phone number.
- Some auctions require identity verification or a minimum account level; the requirements are shown on each auction page.
- Sellers cannot bid on their own auctions.
2. Deposits
- If an auction requires a deposit, the amount is shown before you join, and you can bid only after Foroshga confirms the deposit.
- The winner's deposit is applied to the final price. Other bidders' deposits are released after the auction ends.
3. Bids are binding
- Every bid is a real commitment to buy and cannot be withdrawn once placed.
- If anti-sniping is enabled, a bid in the final minutes extends the auction.
- If the seller set a reserve price and the highest bid does not reach it, the item is not sold.
4. What the winner must do and payment deadline
- When the auction ends, the highest bidder is declared the winner and a chat between buyer and seller opens automatically.
- The winner must pay the remaining amount within the deadline stated on the auction page or in the chat, and arrange collection or delivery.
5. Cancellation
- Sellers can edit or withdraw an auction only before it starts.
- Foroshga may pause or cancel an auction that breaks the rules; any deposits are then released.
6. Fees
- Foroshga currently charges no auction commission. Any entry fee or deposit is shown on the auction page before you join.
7. Non-payment and disputes
- If the winner does not pay, their deposit may be paid to the seller and their account may be restricted from future auctions.
- The buyer or seller can use "Report a problem" on the auction page. The Foroshga team reviews the case and announces the outcome.
